Cordless cutt-off machine

A cordless cut-off machine cuts metal, concrete and stone on site or in the street, with no petrol engine and no power cable. It belongs to the cordless sanders, angle grinders and polishers and is aimed at road builders, installers and metalworkers.

The disc diameter sets the cutting depth. Machines for 230 mm discs are compact and lighter, for slots, pipes and profiles. Models for 305, 350 or 355 mm cut deeper through kerbs, pipes and concrete elements. Also choose by the battery platform you already use: 18V on M18 FUEL or 2x18V LXT, 40Vmax and 2x40Vmax XGT, 54V XR FLEXVOLT, or the MX FUEL platform for the heaviest jobs.

Machines come without battery and charger or as a set with batteries and charger, sometimes in a transport bag and with a diamond blade. With a bare machine, check which battery capacity the manufacturer recommends for cut-off work. The machines come from Milwaukee, Makita, DeWalt and Bosch. Before buying, also compare the operating weight, because it adds up over repeated cuts above waist height.
